COVID-19 Update
I know everyone’ s inboxes are full of updates from every company you deal with regarding their procedures during this time of unprecedented closures due to the novel Coronavirus pandemic. We’ve respected your wishes and our promise not to pack your inboxes full of newsletters and solicitations, so I decided a blog would be a great way to reach out to our client base with an update.
Currently, our office is working on a 100% remote basis and we have moved all staff members to home offices. We are all here for you via email and we are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our new company cell phone so that we have a streamlined way to communicate with you. The health of employees, families and clients is our first concern.
The government is making big moves to help our finances and our businesses through this difficult time. We are monitoring the different types of aid available to individuals and businesses and will do our very best to keep you up to date by posting both here and at facebook.com/getacct.
What we know now:
- Knox County (our home base) has closed all non-essential businesses in an effort to control the spread of the virus.
- The Federal government is working on the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) as fast as possible to get monetary aid into the hands of those effected.
- The tax filing deadline has been extended to July 15.
- The tax payment deadline has also been extended to July 15. There will be no penalties or interest charged as long as you have filed and paid by that date.
We know many of our businesses have employees impacted. Please know that we are consistently checking for updates related to FFCRA so that you are able to get reimbursement for any benefits you pay out. For those of you waiting on your taxes, I am officially back at it today. We’ve had a bit of a delay with this swift move to working from home, but I assure you we will be here to take care of your tax and accounting needs for as long as we are able. As a reminder, our email addresses are:
